Named after the Constitutional Amendment that enacted Prohibition and then subsequent Amendment that repealed it\, 18th & 21st promises to bring back a bygone era through beautiful presentation\, carefully crafted cocktails\, and an elevated dining experience. \nThe Chapter is also happy to welcome back special guest presenters Roy Cohen\, Lane Kelman\, and Robbie O’Brien from the law office of Cohen Seglias. For more than 30 years\, Cohen Seglias has laid a foundation of legal excellence in the construction industry. By being responsive and conscientious business partners\, their footprint and capabilities have grown alongside their clients’ needs with a full range of legal services from construction litigation\, contracts and risk management\, to labor and employment guidance. DESCRIPTION:Maryland NECA is proud to bring you an in-depth Foreman Training Class presented by NECA’s own\, Jay B. Jones. In this course\, Jay B. will discuss nine comprehensive courses that focus on the knowledge and skills that every foreman/supervisor must master to be an effective manager of people\, time\, equipment\, and materials. This training is designed specifically to meet the needs of electrical contractors. This program consists of these nine comprehensive courses: \nModule 1: Oral and Written Communication \nModule 2: Planning and Scheduling \nModule 3: Field Productivity Improvement \nModule 4: Understanding Cost: Understanding the Estimate \nModule 5: Leadership and Motivation: Team Building \nModule 6: Site Safety and Accident Prevention \nModule 7: Managing the Project: The Foreman’s Role \nModule 8: Problem Solving and Decision Making \nModule 9: Understanding Human Nature \nJay B. became an IBEW electrician out of Local 456 in New Brunswick\, NJ. After completing a 5-year apprenticeship\, Jay worked as a Journeymen\, Foreman\, and General Foreman during his 13 years in the field.
