Chapter Membership Meeting

The January Membership Meeting will be our first meeting of 2022. At the meeting, the membership will vote on a new Board of Directors; also, be updated on what Maryland NECA has been doing and what our goals/plans are for 2022. If you’re interested in attending the meeting, please RSVP by Friday, January 7, 2022.

The election for the Board of Directors’ takes place every two (2) years. Before the voting commences, each member, in good standing, has the ability to cast their name in for a position on the Board of Directors; after which, each member, in good standing, will cast their vote(s) for those they want to represent their interests, and that of our industry, on the Board of Directors.

A members’ vote is weighted based off their total man-hours from the previous year. Each member in good standing, with a minimum of one-hour worked, has their “vote” worth one (1) vote. Each contractors with 75,001 – 150,000 man-hours has their “vote” worth two (2) votes. Each contractor with 150,001+ man-hours has each “vote” count for three (3) votes.

At the election, the membership will vote on a new Governor and on open Board positions. The Board of Directors, in turn, will vote amongst themselves the officers of the Board (i.e. President, VP, Treasure, etc.)
