Foreman Training Class

Maryland NECA is proud to bring you an in-depth Foreman Training Class presented by NECA’s own, Jay B. Jones. In this course, Jay B. will discuss nine comprehensive courses that focus on the knowledge and skills that every foreman/supervisor must master to be an effective manager of people, time, equipment, and materials. This training is designed specifically to meet the needs of electrical contractors. This program consists of these nine comprehensive courses:
Module 1: Oral and Written Communication
Module 2: Planning and Scheduling
Module 3: Field Productivity Improvement
Module 4: Understanding Cost: Understanding the Estimate
Module 5: Leadership and Motivation: Team Building
Module 6: Site Safety and Accident Prevention
Module 7: Managing the Project: The Foreman’s Role
Module 8: Problem Solving and Decision Making
Module 9: Understanding Human Nature
Jay B. became an IBEW electrician out of Local 456 in New Brunswick, NJ. After completing a 5-year apprenticeship, Jay worked as a Journeymen, Foreman, and General Foreman during his 13 years in the field. Jay works for NECA as a Field Representative in the Eastern Region, servicing nine (9) NECA chapters.
